Work Record Window - Description Tab

A Work record represents the abstract concept of a musical composition, set of compositions, interview, literary work and other originally created entities.

Work related metadata is arranged under three tabs: Description, Contributors and Work Structure.

Descriptive and administrative metadata relevant to a work are entered under the Description tab of the work record. Importing an established Uniform Title record (when available) will populate some fields, but the content of other fields is researched and manually entered by the cataloger.
