Container Record Window - Description Tab

Container records represent the physical item or set of items on which instantiations of works can be found.

Metadata related to the Container is arranged under five tabs: Description, Contributors, Container Structure, Media Objects and Instantiations.

Descriptive and administrative metadata relevant to the container are entered under the Description tab of the container record. Importing the relevant bibliographic record will populate some fields, while content of other fields is manually entered by the cataloger.
